The Human Design New Year starts when the sun moves into Gate 41, but this won’t happen until January 20, 2024! From now until then, the sun will be moving through five gates that precede the initiatory energy of Gate 41 with their own energies that can affect all of us.

What limitations have I faced in this last year?
Would I define these as true limitations or false?
What are some conditioned, perhaps false, limitations that I still subscribe to?
*Note: There is so much more I want to say about Gate 60 and it’s relevance, specifically to the limitations of systemic oppression; racism, classism, etc. These are real limitations in our world which greatly affect a vast number of people and their ability to grow and progress. It can be tempting to spiritually bypass these realities through the definition of Gate 60. However in the IChing, Hexagram 60 distinguishes that any limitations which are set by the collective ego serve to distort our perspective and divorce us from the Cosmic whole—to remain under the false control of the collective ego and are thereby not in Cosmic Harmony. This should seem obvious, but we continue to divide each other and ourselves by race, class, gender, education, and so on. We can know that these very real limitations built upon ideas from the collective ego must be dismantled if we want to see the liberation of all folks. Yes they are real and must be addressed, because they are false limitations not based on the Cosmic Principle of Harmony.
